Ingredients:
2 packets of 250gr each butter (if you like you
may replace it with 1 pack margarine+1 glass corn oil)
6 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons coconut
1 sachet baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
4 tablespoons brandy
½ teaspoon ground gloves
250gr almonds toasted
Flour as much as it is needed for a soft dough
(about 1 kg)
Icing sugar to sprinkle
Method:
In a bowl mix the melted butter with the sugar to dissolve, add the baking powder dissolved in the brandy. Fold in the rest of the ingredients except the almonds, the flour and the icing sugar. Sift the flour into the mixture slowly-slowly to get a soft dough, add the toasted almonds, whole or roughly chopped. Mould the pieces of dough in any shape you like and arrange them in a pan lined with greaseproof paper, bake at 180 degrees Celsius, until they turn golden brown. As soon as they are ready, allow to cool then sprinkle the icing sugar. It gives about 50 pieces.
